ABOUT MIKE...

Born a native Calgarian on the banks of the Elbow River, Mike grew up catching Browns and Brookies from this main tributary to
the Bow River. To this day Mike still
fishes it regularly.

At 11 years of age, Mike tried his first fly rod and since, fishing became his obsession. "It's in the blood", Mike's mother would tell him. "Your grandfather was a great fishermen. Your uncles
and cousins are great fishermen too."

At 14 years of age, Mike's started tying his own flies...and this new obsession became an addiction.

Now 30 years later, Mike has well over 1000
guided float trips under his belt. Mike has guided many, including the likes of Lee and Joan Wulff. Mike remembers Joan's fly casting accuracy and
how Lee never missed a fish.

And so, Mike's skill has took him from just a
Guide to a well respected professional, requested
by those wanting the "extreme" experience.

When not fishing, Mike is the fishing manager of Wholesale Sports of Canada.
